1. Information we collect
Personal information you provide directly: your name, age range, gender, skin type, skincare goals, and the photos you upload for analysis. This is what lets the analysis be about you rather than about people in general.
Health and skincare data: your skin concerns, routine, product usage and progress over time. This is sensitive information and is stored accordingly.
Usage data: basic information about how you interact with the app — features used, and the preferences you set — so we can keep it working and improve it.
2. How we use artificial intelligence
Vera uses a vision model to analyse your photos, assess your skin, and produce personalised recommendations and a routine.
Those recommendations are based on general patterns. They are not medical diagnoses, and they should be reviewed with a qualified healthcare professional — particularly for serious skin conditions, allergies or persistent problems.
Your personal data is not used to train models.
3. Data security and protection
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols.
We apply access controls and review our security practices regularly.
Your photos and skin data are stored securely and are accessible to you and to the systems that perform the analysis.
4. Data sharing and third parties
We do not sell your personal information or your skin data.
We share information with the service providers that operate the app — hosting, storage, authentication and the analysis model — and only as far as they need it to provide the service, or where required by law. They are contractually obliged to protect it and to use it only for those purposes.
5. Your rights and choices
Access and correction: you can view and update your profile and preferences at any time in the app.
Deletion: you can permanently delete your account, and with it your profile, your photos and every analysis, from Settings. This is a single action and it is not reversible.
Notifications: routine reminders are scheduled locally on your device and can be turned off at any time, in the app or in your device settings.
6. Children's privacy
Vera is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will post the new policy in the app and update the date shown above.
